China's total
imp. & exp. value of foreign trade recorded
U.S. dollar 120.49 billion in Jan. 2006
increasing 26.8% compared with the same period
of last year. Among them, export was 64.99 billion
dollars, increasing 28.10%; while import was 55.50
billion dollars, increasing 25.4%. Trade surplus
was 9.49 billion dollars, which is released by
China Customs.
Official statistics made
by China Customs that China's total imp. &
exp. value of textile and apparel Jan.2005 reached
11.561 billion dollars, increasing 20.98%
compared with the same period of last year, and
taking up 9.59% of China gross imp.& exp.
value of foreign trade. Gross
export value of textile and apparel in China was
10.422 billion dollars, increasing 23.90%
compared with the same period of last year, and
taking up 16.04% of gross export value of foreign
trade in China. Among them, textile
export was 3.828 billion dollars, increasing
22.42% compared with the same period of last year;
and apparel export was 6.594
billion dollars, increasing 24.78% compared
with the same period of last year. Gross
import value of textile and apparel reached 1.139
billion dollars, down 0.56% compared with
the same period of last year, and taking up 2.05%
of gross import value of foreign trade in China.
Among them, textile import
was 1.026 billion dollars, down 2.37% compa19.60%
compared with the same period of last year. The
favorable balance of textile and apparel trade
reached 9.283 billion dollars in Jan.2006.
Among the main export countries and areas of
textile and apparel, USA was the top one, Japan
and Hong Kong PR China became the top two and
three. In Jan, China export to USA reached 1.53
billion dollars, increasing 8.45% compared with
the same period of last year; export to Japan
was 1.436 billion dollars, increasing 16.80% compared
with the same period of last year; export to Hong
Kong PR China was up to 1.326 billion dollars,
up 11.99% compared with the same period of last
year. Total value of export to the above three
countries and area reached 4.292 billion dollars,
taking up 41.18% of total export of textile and
apparel. Export to EU reached 1.759 billion dollars,
increasing14.52% compared with the same period
of last year. Export to EU and USA reached 3.288
billion dollars, increasing 11.62% compared with
the same period of last year. Export to other
countries except EU and USA reached 7.133 billion
dollars, increasing 30.50% compared with the same
period of last year.
Among the main import countries and areas, Taiwan,
Japan and South Korea became top three. In Jan.
2006, the import textile and apparel from Taiwan,
Japan and South Korea was 0.226 billion dollars,
0.210 billion dollars, and 0.164 billion dollars,
increasing 3.82%, down 17.29% and down 9.16% separately.
