The First Chinese Standard of Anti-Bacteria Knitting Textile Will Be Applied This August

China Knitting Industrial Association (CKIA), together with Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, has set down the first Chinese standard in anti-bacteria area, named FZ/T73023-2006 Anti-Bacteria Knitting Textile Standard, after two years of hard work. The standard has been officially approved and published by National Development and Reform Commission and it will begin to take into effect on Aug. 1, 2006.

According to the brief introduction of CKIA, all the anti-bacteria knitting textile will be tested by this standard on the basis of its material, its structure or its function. In respect of the material used, the anti-bacteria knitting textile will be classified as cotton knitting textile, wool knitting textile, viscose knitting textile, nylon knitting textile, etc. Regarding the functions of the product, the anti-bacteria knitting textile will cover underwear, sport wear, T-shirt, socks, hat, bra, swimming wear, etc.
