The 8th China Textile and Apparel Trade Show (New York) which is sponsored by China National Textile and Apparel Council and organized by CCPIT TEX, STS and Youthful USA was held in Javits Convention Center , New York on June 12th ,2007.
Intertextile Pavilion Shenzhen
Intertextile Pavilion at Shenzhen,to be held 12 ¨C 14 July 2007 in Shenzhen, in China¡¯s southern Guangdong province, brings together fabric producers and apparel makers in one of China¡¯s key manufacturing and clothing design regions.

ITMA ASIA + CITME 2008
What a success: With a year to go before the show opens for the first time in China, the ITMA Asia + CITME 2008 exhibition is already sold out. The ITMA Asia + CITME 2008, which will take place in Shanghai, is scheduled to be held from 27-31 July 2008.
The 100,000 square meters (m2) of gross exhibition space at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) for the first combined show has been booked up by textile machinery manufacturers from around the world.

China's Textile Production Statistic from Jan. through Apr. 2007  
  According to Statistics Center of CNTAC, from Jan. to Apr. 2007, the overall index of industrial production went up steadily.
From Jan. through Apr. 2007, chemical fiber production reached 7.349 million tons, up 17.24 percent from the corresponding period of 2006; Yarn production reached 5.781995 million tons, up 20.42 percent; Cloth production reached 14.48226 billion metres, up 11.54 percent; Nonwoven textiles production reached 0.182029 million tons, up 0.01 percent; And garment production reached 5.53727 billion pieces, up 14.46 percent .
 
 
 
Apparel Sector Unaffected by Price Inflation  
  Government is concerned about the increasing inflation. The Consumer Price Index rose 3.4 percent in May as compared to last year. Prices of all durable and consumer goods hiked 2.4 percent.
The apparel retail sector has remained unaffected in spite of this price inflation. The average apparel retail price has dropped by 1 percent in May vis-¨¤-vis last year.
Chinese retailers have raised prices of apparel. Since it is not very significant rise, sales have continued to grow in May with a surge of 23.5 percent from year-ago trades.
 
Cotton Fabric Output Shows Strong Growth in May  
  China's cotton fabric output reached 2.373 billion meters in May, which was up from 2.256 billion meters in April and reflected 18.41 percent year-on-year growth. Total September 2006 through May 2007 cumulative cotton fabric output reached 18.904 billion meters, reflecting a year-on-year gain of 15.38 percent.
