The 13th Intertextile Shanghai
Apparel Fabrics , an increasingly important destination
for textiles and textile accessories
The show is already popular for its apparel fabrics,
trend forums and seminars, but it is also an important
destination for buyers seeking the fashion accessories
that put a garment together, add embellishment
and label a brand. Intertextile Shanghai Apparel
Fabrics features seven exhibition halls, 80,000
sqm of exhibition space and more than 1,800 exhibitors
from across China and the world. Along with the
hundreds of accessories, the show will feature
apparel textiles for womenswear, menswear, children
& infants, casual and sportswear, and intimates
and lingerie. Products range from mass market
to high end and include cotton, wool, silk, linen/ramie,
man-made fibres, knitted fabrics, embroidery &
lace, functional fabrics, accessories, fibres
and yarns, textile-related technology, design
and styling agencies and fashion and textile trade
publications.
Many famous international accessories suppliers
signed up to attend.
More than 200 domestic and international exhibitors
will display linings, buttons, zippers, labels,
threads and tapes and other accessories as part
of Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics 2007,
one of the leading apparel textile trade events
in China. Accessories play a smaller but significant
role in the show. The popularity and interest
in accessories will lead to a greatly enlarged
area dedicated to them starting in 2008. This
year, nearly all of the international exhibitors
are returning after a successful show in 2006.
Among the famous names to expect this year are:
- Belgium fashion textile producer Concordia Textiles
NV, will feature high-end linings for womens,
mens and casual and sportswear
- Leading German clothing fasteners and accessories
maker Union Knopf will display buttons and zippers
for womens, mens, childrens and casual and sportswear
- Riri SA from Switzerland will showcase a wide
range of zippers including metal, zinc and nylon
- Japanese trimmings and ribbon maker, Shindo
Senikogyo Co. will show ribbons, knit tapes and
piping and other trims
- And internationally famous Austrian crystal
accessories designer Swarovski will showcase
some of its latest product offerings and trend
forecasts
"Besides showing the 2008 Autumn/Winter trends
identified by our trend expert and our new Swarovski
Elements for the seasons, we will also introduce
the company's dynamic new branding 'Crystallized
- Swarovski Elements' to the industry," says
Mr Georg Nussdorfer for Swarovski Crystal.
The new brand is a special seasonal collection
that showcases Swarovski's most avant garde, technologically
precise and trendiest collections. Mr Nussdorfer
noted that presenting the new brand at Intertextile
Shanghai Apparel Fabrics is a vital marketing
tool. "This fair is one of the most important
apparel fabrics fairs in the world and in particular
Asia," he says. "By joining this fair,
we can demonstrate our leading position in the
industry, build a fashionable and luxury image
for our new brand, increase the awareness and
preference of Swarovski Elements, find new business
contacts and explore new customers."
The latest accessories trends and forecasts
In addition to the trends and product displays
presented by exhibitors, Intertextile Shanghai
Apparel Textiles will also feature a special area
dedicated to accessories trends. The 2007 show
will present an Accessories Display Zone showcasing
the trendiest and most fashionable accessories.
