at Intertextile Beijing
Show will present important industry updates:
the latest trends, future forecasts and informative
seminars
1129 suppliers from around the world will bring
the latest products to one of the most important
apparel textile trade events in northern China.
Intertextile Beijing Apparel Fabrics, to be held
27 - 29 March 2008, is an ideal destination for
sourcing apparel textiles and accessories from
mass market to high end. The show will feature
nearly 30% more exhibition space at its new venue
for 2008: The China International Exhibition Centre,
Beijing, located about 30 minutes from the international
airport.
The show will include major international manufacturers
including Cerruti, Ermenegildo Zegna, Hield Brothers,
Miroglio, Riri and Union Knopf, as well as hundreds
of significant Chinese suppliers. The show will
include a hall dedicated to accessories, lace
and embroidery suppliers.
Panel of experts at seminars and trend forecasting
events
The show also features a range of programmes
to help suppliers and manufacturers alike stay
abreast of industry trends. A series of 10 seminars
will explore topics related to trends and industry
news including legal issues surrounding copyright
and trade.
The show will also highlight upcoming trends
through two popular trend-forecasting displays
for Spring/Summer 2009. The Interstoff Asia Essential
Directions Trend Forum is produced through the
collaboration of designers in four parts of the
world and represents three themes. The forecasts
for China in 2009 will be presented in a special
exhibit by Fabrics China, based on four themes.
Interstoff Asia Essential Directions Trend
Forum:
* Clarity. Simple and joyful, this theme evokes
delicate and refreshing colours mixed with vivacious
and bright hues, with light, sometimes translucent,
fabrics and gauzes or plastic enamel and iridescent
surfaces.
* Patina: Ecological and antique, the theme is
more tactile with sun-faded earthy colours and
cool mineral hues dusted with silver and gold.
Fabrics can be hemp, bamboo, linen or silk, with
botanical, floral camouflage and antique prints.
* Orientalism: Exotic and visual, the theme evokes
African kingdoms to Middle Eastern bazaars and
the Indian concept of Nirvana. Colours are dramatic
and high energy with a contour of black. Fabrics
are bright and rich with sculpted textures, metallic
beads, macram¨¦ and embroidery. Prints are inspired
by Mosque ceramic tiles and primitive graphics.
Fabrics China
* Idea City: a sensual urbanity, with icy blue
and sophisticated grey, mixed with gentle greens
and soft flesh tones. Fabrics will be well draped
and soft, with a classic and clean structure.
* Easy Holiday: a search for nature, balance
and harmony between work and rest, city and country.
Colours are warm with coral orange and sunny yellow,
and fabrics are light, artistic and occasionally
floral.
* Art Academy: an artistic and unusual take on
the classics with oil paint effects and magenta,
coppery-gold, light purple and pearl white colours.
Fabrics are natural, exotic and pattered.
* Non-mainstream: a new take on traditional non-conformity
- punk rock, hippie and disco looks reconfigured
for the videogame generation. Colours are bright,
primary and fresh and fabrics are geometric, technological
and synthetic.
