101 suppliers signed on to Yarn
Expo Spring - the leading yarn and fibre trade
destination in northern China
Exhibitors featuring products reflecting demand
for cotton, linen and chemical fibres
Nearly 100 suppliers will feature a full range
of apparel yarns and fibres during Yarn Expo Spring
2008, running 27 - 29 March 2008 at the China
World Trade Centre, Beijing. Exhibitors of natural,
manmade and speciality/fancy fibres and yarns
will be well placed to take advantage of surging
demand in China, particularly in the flourishing
northern textile market.
Suppliers reflect global demands for cotton,
flax
Analysts predict demand will outstrip supplies
of cotton yarn in 2008, primarily due to
manufacturing demands in China. Some of the leading
suppliers from cotton-producing nations such as
Pakistan, Turkey and China will be on hand to
help meet that demand. Lahore Business International
of Pakistan will feature grey 100% cotton &
blended yarn for weaving and knitting, said Mr
Ch. Abid Latif, Managing Director. Kaybee Group
of Singapore will feature cotton as well as polyester,
viscose and fancy yarns, said Mr Sandeep Goel,
Senior General Manager for Kaybee-Singapore.
Along with cotton, suppliers are ready to meet
demands for linen. Procotex from Belgium will
return with linen tops for blending with wool
or silk fibres as well as cottonised flax for
cotton or polyester blends, said Sales Director
Mr Bruno Douchy.
Many suppliers will focus on chemical fibres.
With a rise in consumption of apparel in China,
textile manufacturers are seeking more chemical
fibres, especially Urethane elastic fibre used
to produce high-end fabric. China produces and
consumes the largest amount of chemical fibres
in the world but demand is still surpassing supply.
In such an opportune market, manufacturers of
these products see Yarn Expo as an ideal destination
to tap into the potential.
An ideal time for trade in Beijing
Yarn Expo Spring is uniquely positioned to take
advantage of a major concurrent textile trade
event in Beijing: more than 1,000 textile manufacturers
will be exhibiting at Intertextile Beijing Apparel
Fabrics 2008 and will find Yarn Expo a useful
venue to source their own supplies. A free shuttle
bus will connect the two events. Last year, more
than 5,000 visitors attended Yarn Expo.
Yarn Expo is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK)
Ltd, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry - CCPIT,
