A German Pavilion, sponsored by Gesamtverband Textil + Mode, –  the Confederation of the German Textile and Fashion Industry
–  and organised by Messe Frankfurt GmbH, will bring a selection of Germany’s top technical textiles manufacturers to Cinte Techtextil China 2006. Other groups from Austria, Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, Taiwan and the UK are expected to participate in what has become China’s leading event for the technical textiles and nonwoven industry.

Germany is Europe's premier producer of technical textiles, 17% of the EU total. The competitiveness of the German technical textiles and nonwoven industry is decisively shaped by intensive research and development and strong technical know-how.

As of now, 17 German companies have signed up and visitors will be able to find renowned names such as W.L. Gore, supplier of the famous fluoropolymer products which include the GORE-TEX® brand, Fleissner, the manufacturer of machinery for man-made fibre and nonwovens production, Groz-Beckert, the world leading supplier of felting and tufting needles, and Verseidag Indutex, the manufacturer of raw, semi-finished and finished products for the composite coated fabrics market.

"We see CINTE Techtextil China 2006 as an ideal platform to meet our customers in and around Shanghai as well as from all other Chinese provinces," says Mr. Bernd Rödig, Sales Manager for Groz-Beckert KG, one of the German companies.
"The fair will enable us to talk face-to-face with most of our existing and hopefully new customers."

“We are very happy to welcome such a fine collection of German companies to Shanghai and to Cinte Techtextil China,” says Katy Lam, Director Trade Fairs at Messe Frankfurt Hong Kong. “As technical textiles and nonwoven industry in China grows ever more discerning, German manufacturers of high-grade products will find many more opportunities for export sales."
