Cinte Techtextil China opens at INTEX, Shanghai from 1 – 3 September 2004. 300 exhibitors from 18 countries and regions, including national pavilions from Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and the UK will display their latest technical textile and nonwoven products.

Cinte Techtextil China offers exhibitors the opportunity to explore the potential of China’s extensive technical textile market place. The majority of exhibits on display will focus on technology, technical textiles, nonwovens, raw materials and machinery,

Spotlight on exhibitors

· Chinese exhibits
China’s nonwovens industry has grown by 10% a year over the last ten years and Chinese technical and nonwoven products’ manufacturers are eager to promote their range. Over 140 Chinese exhibitors have confirmed their attendance at Cinte Techtextil China. The nation top technical textiles manufacturers including PGI Nanhai Nanxin Non-woven Co Ltd, Eastex Industrial Science and Technology Co Ltd and Guangdong Jofo Enterprises Co Ltd will display Chinese-made technical textiles and nonwoven and machines for the industry.

· Hi-Tex Textiles from Germany.
Thirty-five exhibitors from the German technical textile machinery sector and the research and development area will exhibit their latest developments under the banner of ‘Hi-Tex Textiles from Germany’. Products on display will include spinning machines and texturing systems from Barmag, textile dry-finishing systems from Brückner, industrial sewing machines from PFAFF Industrie Maschinen AG and a wide range of technical textiles from Ibena Textilwerke Beckmann GmbH. ‘Hi-Tex Textiles from Germany’ is sponsored by the German Ministry of Economics and Labour (BMWA), in co-operation with the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) and supported by the Confederation of the German Textile and Fashion Industry.

· Italian pavilion
The Italian Institute for Foreign Trade (ICE) has organised for 15 leading Italian technical textile and nonwovens companies to exhibit at Cinte Techtextil China 2004. The Italian pavilion will showcase a wide range of technical fabrics as well as nonwovens machinery

· CLUBTEX from France
Nine companies under the umbrella of Clubtex, a network of leading French technical textile firms, will present their latest technical textiles products including woven fabrics for protective wear and coated and laminated fabrics.

· The Centre for Textile Technologies from Canada
The Centre for Textile Technologies Group (CTT) is Canada’s most complete technical resource centre dedicated to support the local textile industry. Seventeen companies will be at Cinte Techtextil China 2004 presenting technical textiles and related products. The Canadian pavilion is co-organised by Groupe CTT and Industry Canada.

· Austrian pavilion
Lead by the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKO), seven technical textiles suppliers including Lenzing will showcase the most up-to-date melt filter systems and technical textile and nonwovens textile machinery.

· British pavilion
Manufacturers of advanced materials as well as academics will be presenting the latest innovations in technical textile industry in the UK. The products on show include nonwovens and textile machinery, woven glass, aramid, nomex and nylon fabrics, elastomeric, coated textile materials, waterproof, breathable membranes, circular and flat woven, raschel warp knitted, weft inserted, stitch bonded, coated and laminated composite fabrics.

Keeping visitors and exhibitors abreast of global innovations from the world of technical textiles and nonwovens, industry experts from Asia and around the world will participate in a comprehensive three-day symposium held from 31 August to 2 September. Cinte Techtextil China Symposium will also include top level discussions and presentations on technical textile development in China and around the world. Speakers will focus on the main application areas currently affecting the industry most dramatically including; Buildtech, Agrotech, Mobiltech, Medtech and Protech.
