China Imported nearly 500,000 tons of Cotton in March

The updated data from China Customs shows that in March 2006, China imported 495,000 tons of cotton, making the highest import record in a single month.

In the first three months in 2006, China imported 1.12 million tons of cotton. From Sep. 2005 through March 2006, China cumulative cotton import reached 2.2 million tons.
