Complimentary fashion program focusing on China

Cowan, Liebowitz & Latman, P.C. announced today that it will be hosting its eighth annual Fashion Industry program. The program is called “CHINA - Opportunities and Challenges for the Fashion Industry” and will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the Harvard Club of New York City, 35 West 44th Street. A continental breakfast will be available from 8:00 a.m. The program will run from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. followed by informal socializing.

The speakers will be Deborah K. Squiers, Joel Karni Schmidt, Jeffrey H. Epstein and C.J. Erickson, all partners in the firm, plus guest speaker Richard Kestenbaum, co-founder and partner of Triangle Capital LLC. Mr. Kestenbaum heads up Triangle’s activity in the People’s Republic of China, where Triangle has an exclusive representation agreement with the China National Textile and Apparel Council, an affiliate of the Chinese government.

The speakers will discuss opportunities and obstacles associated with doing business in China, enforcing and protecting brands in China, and importation issues and solutions.

The program is open to members of the fashion industry, manufacturing executives, importers, retailers, attorneys, educators and designers.
